Beautiful Banana

Super Lemony Lemon

Luscious Red Velvet

White Chocolate Mudcake

Old-Fashioned Fruitcake
Like Nana’s. Packed with dried fruit, glacé cherries, candied lemon peel, and gentle hints of orange and spice. Available with or without alcohol.
Pairs beautifully with: dark chocolate ganache or almond icing.
Icing Flavours
Icings are used to cover the outside of the cake and sit between each cake layer.
Vanilla Buttercream
A silky Swiss meringue-style buttercream made with an egg-white base. Smooth, light and not too sweet, with a classic vanilla finish that works beautifully with almost any cake flavour.
Cream Cheese-Flavoured Buttercream
A silky Swiss meringue-style buttercream with the tangy flavour profile of cream cheese, while still being smooth, light and not too sweet. Due to our food safety plan, we’re unable to use real cream cheese because it requires constant refrigeration, and cakes are sometimes out of the fridge while being decorated or served. Instead, we use a quality cream cheese-flavoured oil to achieve a similar profile.
Chocolate Buttercream
A silky Swiss meringue-style buttercream made with an egg-white base and real chocolate. Smooth and not too sweet, with a richer, almost frosting-like texture for a beautiful chocolate finish.
Raspberry Buttercream
A silky Swiss meringue-style buttercream made with an egg-white base and a carefully balanced blend of raspberry ingredients. Fruity, pretty and bright without being overpowering.
Dark Chocolate Ganache
A smooth, luxurious ganache made with a blend of dark and milk chocolate infused with cream. Silky rather than fluffy, and perfect for chocolate lovers wanting a richer finish.
White Chocolate Ganache
A smooth, creamy ganache made with quality white chocolate infused with cream. Silky rather than fluffy, with a sweet, luxurious white chocolate finish.
Extra Filling Flavours
Fillings are extra sauces or curds that can be added between the layers for another flavour note.
Silky Caramel
A smooth caramel sauce with that nostalgic ice cream sundae feeling. Thinner than gooey salted caramel.
Gooey Salted Caramel
Thick, sweet and salty in all the right ways. A rich caramel filling for anyone who loves that sweet-savoury hit.
Rockin’ Raspberry
Made with real raspberries for a bright, dreamy berry hit. A little bit rockin’.
Zingy Lemon Curd
A classic thick lemon curd with a proper citrus bite. Sweet, tart and bright, it adds a fresh zing between layers.

Can’t decide what cake to order? Gift a voucher for the recipient to choose their own flavour and design.
*Vouchers are valid for one year from purchase. They can be collected from Birdsong Kitchen’s premises in Springston or posted to a New Zealand Address of your choosing. Cakes can not be delivered and are expected to be picked up, therefore it is advised to gift locally.

Terms and Conditions
ORDER CONFIRMATION
Orders require a 50% deposit within 5 days of quote and no later than 2 weeks prior to collection.
If an order is made for less than 2 weeks time, full payment is required.
The order is not confirmed until a deposit is received, and your cake date may be offered to other customers after the quote expiry.
CAKE QUOTE
Read the description and collection date with care to ensure it meets your event needs.
Please note* while every effort is made to avoid cross contamination of allergen ingredients, we do produce cakes with these and cannot 100% guarantee their absence.

Please advise a mobile contact number as a backup, if you didn't make contact via our website enquiry form. These details will be kept confidential and will not be shared with other businesses. Sharing of your details and/or paying a deposit is considered to be indication of acceptance of these terms and conditions.
CANCELLATIONS
If Birdsong Kitchen has to cancel your order, for whatever reason, the full deposit/payment will be refunded.
If the customer cancels the order within 7 days of collection date, for whatever reason, full payment less 50% will be refunded. If the customer cancels within 3 days of collection date, 100% of the quoted price will not be refunded.
Where possible, a postponement date will be arranged.
This takes into consideration pre-purchased ingredients and materials, time lost for planning, communications, or other bookings that were declined for your order.
COLLECTION
Collection point is 11 Ford Mews Springston. Friday collection is between 3.30pm and 6pm. Saturday 9-10am (Sept-Mar) and 1-2pm (April-Aug)/other day collection by arrangement.
The rights to photographs of your order taken by Birdsong Kitchen belong to Birdsong Kitchen, and may be shared to our social media accounts or used for advertising after your event. Please communicate in writing if you wish your cake photo/video not to be shared.
CAKE CARE
Once the order is in your possession, it is up to you to follow the storage instructions to ensure a pleasant eating experience.
Cakes need to be handled and transported carefully. Always carry with one hand under the base of the box and the other on a base edge. Transport on a flat surface. Someones lap or on a car seat is not flat. The passenger footwell or car boot (without objects to fall on the box) are the most suitable spaces. Please leave your dog at home.
