How should a cake be stored?
The majority of cakes are butter and oil based. This means cakes need to be warmed to room temperature to ensure a pleasant eating experience.
Freezing is not recommended. We recommend removing cake from the fridge 3-4 hours before eating. In most cases, your cake can be safely stored out of the fridge for 48 hours. Once cut, you can use clingfilm or parchment paper to cover cut area and prevent dry cake.
Store in a cool place, out of direct sunlight, out of reach of pets.
Fondant covered cakes stored in a fridge may form condensation when removed. DO NOT dab or wipe the cake. The condensation will eventually evaporate if left out at room temperature.

Do you make allergen friendly cakes?
We can make cakes using ingredients free from gluten, egg and nut. However, they are made in our kitchen that produces cakes with these ingredients. While all care is taken, we cannot rule out traces of allergens. Please discuss your requirements with us.

Why don’t you have set prices for cakes?
Just like your celebration, each cake is personalised to your desires. Some flavours and fillings require more time/higher priced ingredients to create them. The decorations and themes require careful planning, research and construction.

What is a realistic budget for a cake?
Every business has overheads - think ingredients, packaging, electricity, Council registration fees - not to mention the time and skill required to create an edible work of art. Most cakes start around the $150 mark and go up from there, but are largely influenced by the time involved in the decorations.

Can I purchase just the cake topper from you?
Sorry, this is not something we offer. This is to ensure our work is only adorning the most delicious of cakes (that we can bake for you!)
On occasion, we will make these for another registered cake business whom you’ve employed to make your cake.
